The Sony DR 260 USB is a new USB stereo hands free headset for communications. I actually got these to use while playing online multiplayer games and it is fantastic, work very well for what I needed and you have the Sony brand.

The design of the headset is very comfortable especially around and on your ears. You can wear these for long periods of time and not feel uncomfortable. The cushioning is soft and doesn't press hard against your ear. The headset is adjustable to head size and microphone is conveniently placed as a mouth piece which can also be adjusted to your needs. The Microphone is designed well to minimise surrounding noise. The headset has a quality silvery purple finish.

The headset uses all digital USB technology eliminates noise to deliver maximum signal clarity and sound. The USB interface box is for convenient operation of microphone & headphone volume and also microphone mute function. The headset is ideal for use with Internet Telephony Chatting Internet meetings voice recognition Multimedia Games and Music. The sound quality is as good as it gets from Sony, high quality sound which is ideal for listening to just music if desired. The type of microphone is boom which basically means it's flexible for precise adjustments. The headset is compatible with most PCs (microphone + headphone jack are required).

The headset also has a 3 metre long lead for easy connection with your PC and gold plated dual plug (3.6 mm for headphone and microphone). The microphone cord type is single sided.

Overall the Sony DR 260 USB headset is excellent for multi purpose use. As mentioned before I use it for online multiplayer games to communicate with friends and it works well. Can be easily used for other communications on chat rooms, video conferencing etc. The headset is quite expensive though for what it is, it usually costs around £80. But I got it on sale online for around £60; I can't remember the website though.
