Okay, so this is the headset that sort of disappointed me. Here's the thing about this headset, you need to take good care of it. Mine broke in about a year, which granted, it is a long time but when I put it on and found it didn't work, it disappointed me a lot. The cushions that are on the headset are comfortable in the time you have it, but then it gets to too stuffy and becomes a burden. You start to go with headsets rather than your high-budget headphones because of the obvious heaviness of the headset.
The sound quality of this headset is great, you feel like you're in a movie theater, and you really are getting your bang for your buck. However, some of the other headset such as, Monster Headsets or Beats gives you a much more studio quality sound, but they cost way more. The reason I point this out is because if you want amazing quality, then this might not be the headphones for you. The real problem with these headphones are that they are just too fragile, not in there design, the design is actually quite good, but the headphones' jack, the green port. It can break with a step on the foot and you may not notice because the jack seems fine, but inside it really isn't. You do get mad when one day you plug it in and it doesn't work.
Maybe it's my clumsiness or maybe it's true, but with these headphones, you need to be careful. However, if you want an awesome studio headphones and great sound quality and amazing and simple design, this is a truly great headset.
Me and my boyfriend are casual gamers more so for my boyfriend as he's very into his shooting games and plays them daily although we both play a game called World of Warcraft quite regularly and if you like the sound on as we both do you generally need some gaming headphones to listen & communicate.
As my boyfriend is the biggest gamer in the house I decided to treat him to some good quality headphones that he could use most days and to be comfortable on the ears. I picked these headphones up in Tesco in 2011 for his Christmas present which was around the corner, and as he loves the steel series gaming brand I knew he'd love these ones and I would too as I tend to use his computer sometimes (He has a better computer than me!). I can't remember how much they exactly were at the time I think roughly £90.
The headphones come in a white and black color, although you can get other colors red/black/pink/blue etc. With a Black headband type that is very comfortable on your head and is stretchy so it can fit nicely on different head sizes. These headphones also have a pull out microphone under the left ear cup that you pull out when you want to use it, and push back in when it's not needed. We've both spoken to others online using this microphone and people have commented on how clear the speaking is so it's not mufflely or quite, although if you have it too close to your mouth it can sometimes be very loud to others.
The audio on these headphones are also very good and clear and not fuzzy.
Setting these up are easy too as all you have to do is plug in the two connectors (headphone and microphone) into your computer, and with our computers the audio manager pops up and you can configure them to your liking, Or as we sometimes like to do if we want to watch different things in bed is use them in our laptop instead of our computers
Another good thing about these headphones is how durable they are, as for example.. My boyfriend will be playing a shooting game while I'm doing the laundry and he gets a bit worked up bless him and does the typical raging about being killed as he plays competitive games and then the headphones get thrown around the room and they haven't broken or damaged yet after 2 years coming up too 3.
When I'm using these headphones I've noticed the wire is very long (I think it's 3 meters) and can become tangled on the floor or under the computer chairs wheel.
On the wire you also have a volume control button where you can turn the mic on and off as well which is useful to us both.
We both love wearing these headphones as they are very comfortable and the sound is very clear and crisp, At the moment my much loved boyfriend will be buying me a pair for myself for Christmas this year! Properly because I hijack his computer instead of using mine! So I'd definitely recommend these headphones!
The Steel series Siberia was a headset I owned for over a year, and if you have read my Razer Blackwidow review you will understand how much time I spend using these products. As it is a headset I will review the headphones and the microphone separately so there is no confusion between the performance of the two key areas. The headset is available in various colour combinations ranging from the standard white to the pink variation Steel series released to raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Prices vary across the range of different colours as some models are more exclusive than others but the white headset can be purchased for around £55.
The Siberia is unique in its design, the ear cups are connected by two solid arched cables which rise around an inch above the headband resembling some kind of suspension bridge. The headband is curved and attached by stretchy elastic cords to each ear cup so it can move freely, giving lots of leeway for people with large or small heads. This feature allows the user to place the headset in the comfiest position possible as there are no fixed sizes. The headset is surprisingly light, and as a result some parts do feel a little flimsy especially the two arches above the headband. The ear cups on the other hand feel solid and high quality, with the soft leather ear cushions enhancing the appeal of the product and adding further comfort.
When playing games competitively sound becomes more than just noise, it can be used to listen for footsteps and other giveaways which provide more information to the player about his in-game surroundings. The Siberia uses two 50mm drivers which provide crystal clear sound in games and when playing music/film. The stereo soundscape uses virtual surround sound to make sounds easy to pinpoint from different locations, this particularly obvious when playing first-person-shooters and watching movies. In my personal opinion the drivers lack bass but this was easily rectified by tweaking my media player to my preference. The leather ear cushions are also worth mentioning in this section as they do a very good job of blocking out unwanted noise, not the best when parents are yelling for you, but great for their true purpose.
I used the headset to communicate with friends over VOIP clients such as TeamSpeak and I was very impressed with the quality of the microphone on the Siberia. It picked up my voice and no other unwanted noise effectively while delivering high quality sound to my friends. The microphone is quoted as being "invisible", while not quite true it does retract right into the left ear cup so only the white tip is visible, the mic is connected to a flexible cord which allows easy positioning to ensure the best quality sound is picked up.
I have worn this headset for countless hours and it is easily the most comfortable headset I have owned to date, it is light and will fit anyone's head with ease. The cable on the headset is one meter long which is short, but Steelseries also include a 2 meter extension cable to ensure the gold-plated jacks will reach their respective ports. I found the extension useful when using my computer but didn't need it when using portable media such as my phone. Overall, the Siberia is an almost perfect headset for gamers and music lovers and for the reasonable price tag you can't go wrong.
I can say that I'm very pleased with this headset. I'm a gamer and I have used this headset for a long time so I can say that the sound quality is superb. The microphone is good and the cable is nice and thick. Cable is also very long which is a plus. The volume control on the cable is also great to have. The quality of the headset is also superb and I have dropped the headset on the floor many times but It still works like it should. I think also that the headset is very comfortable to wear and I often wear it at least 2-3 hours a day. The design on the headset is a plus.Works great on LAN also and if you are a gamer this headset is perfect for you. This is the best headset I have used and if you have the money you should buy this headset.

I bought mine about 3 years ago and it's still working. When using this headset to play any competitive FPS games, they are clear and precise for an amazing experience. They are also comfortable to wear - I've worn this headsets for 6-10 hours straight at LAN events. Other features are that it comes with an extension with a volume control which is always useful.
The detachable microphone that came with it was amazing it would pick up anything. It could be on the floor and still pick up what you say and still be clear. It also has a mute switch on it.
This headset comes in different colours, from what I've seen it can come in Black, White, Red and Pink. Overall this product combines style, features and functionality for a reasonable price.

The SteelSeries Siberia headset is avalible in two models, one wich connects with one audio plug and a microphone plug and one wich connects with an Usb, I prefer the second one. The headset is also avalible on two colours, Black and white. I own both of them... There is also an mute button on the microphone wich can be very handy sometimes. I really recomend this product.
The SteelSeries Siberia full-size headset was developed in cooperation with professional gamers to ensure that the soundscape, specifications and comfort is suitable for long gaming sessions. But the SteelSeries Siberia full-size headset is also designed for multi-functionality. Apart from using the headset for PC-gaming, this product has been designed so gamers can use it with their favorite MP3-player, handheld gaming device or practically any other kind of portable digital device.
And that is why the headset features a separate microphone, so users can enjoy music on the road without having to bring carrying unneccesary gear. The cord length has been optimized for use with MP3-players and similar products, and comes with an additional extra long cord for use with stationary computers.
