Advantages: Lots of uses
Disadvantages: Look a bit silly
The Trust GXT 16 Wireless Gaming Headset is of course great for gaming but it's not limited to that use alone. The fact that it is wireless enables me to be doing other things while talking online, the fact that I'm not stuck in front of the screen when sometimes there's not much to look at especially if your not connected by a web cam means the freedom this allows me can't be underestimated. This particular head set has a range of fifteen meters from the computer or gaming console itself. I also use this for listening to music on line as they work as standard wireless headphone as well. There is a small USB transmitter included in the pack and that's what makes these work away from my chosen device. The mic has a good sound to it not the hollow sound some headsets can provide, plus it's not muffled at all. The sound isn't amazing but it's good and clear and I can make out every word my friend is saying to me and he can hear me just as well seeing we both have the same headsets. Admittedly these are not the best looking thing to be wearing if you are trying to look cool or impress that special someone and they do look particularly comical on screen when having a conversation via Skype. People may think it looks a bit cool with the earphones and sticky out microphone, Maybe a bit like a fighter pilot but I think it looks a bit Britney Spears ( if I have a lazy day and forget to shave, it becomes a case of more Beardy Spears than Britney, not a good look believe me )
These are described as being light weight and comfortable, they are light but I would have liked there to be more of a quality feel to them if I had my way. When it comes to comfort I would have to say no, they are a little bit awkward feeling. They just don't sit properly they feel rather ridged and plastic. The headband is padded but just barely, it really doesn't make much difference. The ear cups are nice and soft and do cover the entire ear which is a plus as it helps block out some exterior noise ( these are not noise cancelling headphones ). There are simple, easy to reach controls on the side, nothing fancy just the basic volume up and down and an on off switch. The main body of the headphones is black around 95% is in fact black just the head band has some red writhing and the ear cups have a red flame like central designe. The somewhat chunky look of these ear cups is one of the reasons I think they are a bit strange looking, a bit overly round and blocky for my liking.
Obviously the headphones have to be powered somehow if they are not running off the computer. They have a built in Li-ion battery to enable them to be used wirelessly In order to charge this battery I simply use the USB cable that was included in the pack. In order to always have it ready to go I just have it charging via the USB while on dooyoo or browsing the Internet.
Strange looks aside ( or maybe it's just me they look bad on ) these wireless headphones are great for their intended uses. If I want to play online games, video chat, dictate, listen to music, or just make an online phone call ( Viber for example ) these do the job and do it well.

Summary: The fact that these are wirelessly makes them stand out form the rest.
