Boots Health Plan Insurance: ... NOT take out this plan. ESPECIALLY THE PRIVATE PLAN! You get very little back towards the treatment costs. I was told by the adviser that t could be because my dentist is expensive, on futher investigation with other private dentist in my area he is quite reasonable. 	Critical Illness Insurance in general ... had never even heard of Critical Illness until a few months ago when we went to arrange a remortgage and the advisor started to ask questions about how we would cope if either myself or my boyfriend sufferred a major illness like a heart attack or cancer which was not fatal but impacted on our lives. 	HSA Healthcare ... found a leaflet in a magazine, advertising this health insurance and giving one month s cover free. I phoned them up to see how much it would work out and signed up straight away. And I was covered straight away too, which I thought was really good, as I had an appointment with a private consultant the following day and I would be covered for that. We pay £39 a month, and that covers me, my husband and my son. HSA covers up to four children, under the age of 18, who live with you, and they are covered free, for the same amount of benefits that apply to the parent/s. 	BUPA ... are one of the best known private health insurance companies in the country and my experience of using them has been a really positive one. I m actually covered through my boyfriends policy that he added me to so I m not sure how much it costs each month as he gets a discount on the cover through his work. I had to provide some personal details when I was added to the policy as well as previous health information as pre existing conditions would not be covered. With private health cover you are paying for peace of mind that if anything goes wrong you will have access to a consultant immediately rather than having to wait for the NHS to see you which can be months....
