British United Provident Association (BUPA) ... a very few industries you get one organisation which becomes to all intents and purposes synonymous with the product involved such that the name of that organisation comes to mean the same thing as the product, entrenched in people's minds as the product. Hoover is the most obvious example, being shorthand for the vacuum cleaner. Another example is BUPA, where for many people the word means private medical insurance (PMI) and there is nobody else involved. Norwich Union ... year, i joined norwich union healthcare and sat down with the salesperson to fill in my form on my behalf. I told him all my past ailments which all should have been written down as all past illnesses that have required medical attention are not included in the insrance. I explained one of my minor illnesses and my more serious one which i do not want to reveal on the internet. The saleperson said that there was no need to write down the minor illness.
