The true test of medical insurance is how things are handled when you need them. When you need rapid access to healthcare professionals, don't expect Norwich Union to make things easy for you. I would also suggest anyone wishing to purchase a life/critical illness policy from NU should seriously consider shopping around first. Unfortunately you do not know what the company are truly like until you make a claim. I found them to be very inefficient, such as not returning my calls, always saying that the person I wanted to speak to was "in a meeting", changing their minds with regards to information they required. Last year, i joined norwich union healthcare and sat down with the salesperson to fill in my form on my behalf. I told him all my past ailments which all should have been written down as all past illnesses that have required medical attention are not included in the insrance.
