Advantages: Erm?
Disadvantages: None for me or my mate!
Just recently I have really piled on the pounds. This is due to a couple of things really going on with me. Firstly I have stopped my habit of bulimia which means I am keeping food down and ditched the laxatives to try keep my weight in check. The other reason is that I have been diagnosed with Hypothyroidism which means I simply can't stop gaining weight even though I am medicated. I eat really healthy, I exercise and so on but like I say the weight is going on and I've gone from a size 8 to a size 12 in what to me feels like record time.
So I thought maybe I would carry on with my good work but try a supplement that may help slightly. I didn't want dodgy diet pills, I mean we here so many horror stories about stuff and these I had seen in chemists and supermarkets and the likes and were easy to purchase over the counter and I actually got mine from Amazon.co.uk costing me about a tenner (inc p+p).
The first problem I encountered was a dilemma. To take them or not to take them! I ordered them from Amazon like I have already said but of course didn't get a look at warnings or anything on the back of the box and people with thyroid disorders of any kind are not meant to take these, or if your under 16 years old, sensitive to any of the ingredients used within it or pregnant or breast feeding. However I had an appointment with my Doctor anyway and I took these with me and he told me I was able to try them as I am heavily medicated however he knew that they wouldn't work for me and that I wasn't allowed to take them for a long period of time so that settled my nerves a bit and I decided that as I had bought them I'd try them.
The packaging is simple enough. The tablets come in a white plastic sort of bottle with a flip top lid idea to the top of them and on the front of that there is a bright pink and rather feminine label with a picture of a tape measure on it and I am told that they are Adidos Max 'Maximum strength slimming tablets can help speed up weight loss naturally' and that there are a 100 tablets in my bottle and then on the back of that we are given instructions on how to take them, warnings and ingredients are listed, the expirary date is shown and contact details for the manufacturer are given. The outer box is pink and again tells us clearly what they are and who they are by and so on and pretty much gives us the same information as is on the actual bottle itself. Inside there is a leaflet telling us much more about the tablets and so on. The packaging is good and I do like the handy sized bottle that wasn't too big to cart about with me and was rather discreet too!
The Tablets:
All you are meant to do with these small white, coated and round tablets is to take one of them three times a day with food if you can. I found these really easy to take with no odd taste to them at all and you need to follow a calorie controlled diet and not eat anything and hope for these to work sort of thing lol.
These tablets contain 600mg of a thing called fucus which is meant to speed up your metabolism naturally which is why suffering with hypothyroidism I decided to give them a go in the first place, to boost mine a bit and hopefully help me on my way to shedding a couple of pounds. However these did nothing for me at all.
They didn't make me feel more active, poo more or feel ill or owt....they just had no affect on the way I felt at all. I took them for just over a week, at mealtimes and nope, although I thankfully didn't gain anything I didn't lose either!
So then I gave them to my mate who doesn't have any underlying health issues. She also cut down on her high fat and huge amount of calories a day diet and took them religiously but no....she felt a bit a bit better and maybe shed a pound or so but you can't put that down to these pills cos if you cut down on food you should naturally lose weight anyway!
I couldn't justify taking them any longer than I did but do give the warning from this experience to research a product first if you have any health issues. No warnings were given to me on Amazon it was only on receiving them they posed me a problem although I took them but did get advise first.
They didn't work for me or my mate though at all!
Summary: Not for me, you can't seem to cheat your way to weight lose sadly!
