I ave 2 children aged 4 and 5. Everytime a cold or cough comes around, both of mine always seem to pick it up. Having tried countless remedies like Tixylix, Venos and several chemists own brands and finding that none of them worked, I was in despair of ever finding a remedy. It's awful when a small child is awake all night, coughing their little lungs up. Not just because you feel awful for the child, but also because you need your sleep yourself if you want to be anything other than a mummy from hell in the morning. A friend told me to try Benylin. Seeing as we're all getting colds, coughs etc at this time of year, it was no great surprise when our entire household came down with the dreaded lurgy. Our 19 month old, like the rest of us, developed a nasty cough, so I bought a bottle of Benylin ready to beat the cough into submission. The only problem with it is that our daughter loves the stuff! To the point where she now pretends to cough in the hope of getting some! It's got a nice strawberry flavour to it, isn't too sticky or thick and seems to go down well.
