Advantages: Soothes the throat, stops the cough

Disadvantages: The drowsiness is sometimes unwelcome

Having suffered from asthma for almost 37 years, I think I am a guru on Benylin. Personally I have used it for 30 years to my knowledge. Back in the old days, you got Benylin in large brown bottles prescibed by the doctor.

Benylin was the only thing that ever stopped me coughing, as soon as the cough starts up I still reach for the trusted Benylin, but only the original recipe works.

It was taken off presciption and now sold over the counter. A small bottle costing a high price. In my mind such a good product should be still on prescription and be available through the doctor. Some people really rely on this tried and trusted medicine, me for one. Many asthmatics out there would benefit from a large bottle available from their doctors.

The taste is pleasant, the feeling warming and the effect is good. Soothing irritated membranes and helping to aid sleep.

I have never doubted the effects of Benylin and never will
