This is a non-drowsy formula - important for me as I wanted to stay as alert as possible at work, and formulated to relieve irritating, dry coughs. It has a blackcurrant flavour, which is reflected in the purple colouring of the package (which differs from that in the picture above).

Just before Christmas, both myself and my son had really dry, irritating coughs. I was hoping they would go on their own accord, but a couple of weeks later we were both still struggling with the symptoms so decided to visit our local chemist to see what they recommended. They gave me Benylins Dry Cough Medicine to try. This medicine is suitable for both adults and children over the age of 6, and as my son is 8, he was safe to use this medicine. A couple of weeks ago I went home to visit my parents and when I arrived I found my sister in a bit of a sorry state, lying on the couch nursing a very heavy cold. I was tempted at that point to turn around and march back to my flat as with several work deadlines looming the last thing I needed was a cold! However I decided to try my luck and hope my sister wasn't feeling too generous with her germs. A few weeks ago my youngest daughter was suffering from a rather bad cold which led to an awful dry cough. I normally try and avoid medicines but the cough was really irritating her especially at night. I decided to get her some cough medicine but was a little unsure what to get as my daughter is only four so I popped to my local chemist to ask their advice. I do know that it is said that there is no cure for coughs but Benylin Dry Coughs original really does work. So how do I know this does? well within an hour of taking it my cough eased off. Now this might be just an coincidence but I dont think so. You can buy Benylin over the counter of any Chemist. It costs £4.65 but although this is not cheap, if it does the job and this does then it is definately worth the money. Who can take it It is for Adults and Children aged 12 years and over.
