Benylin are a hugely popular brand for cold and flu remedies. They now have a fantastic range of products includin syrups for every type of cough, childrens cough syrups and now tablets.

Packaging

Benylin 4 Flu come in a cardboard box which is red and silver. It has the famous benylin logo printed on the front and also has all the necessary details printed about the product on it. Inside the box is a white strip of tablets. A box of 24 costs roughly £4.

The Tablets

The tablets are orange in colour and of average size. They have no real scent or taste and have a smooth outer coating making them easier to swallow.

What they do

4 Flu tablets relieve the four main symptoms of flu, fever, congestion, body pains and coughs.
They contain a combination of ingredients to provide effective relief, these ingredients are, 500mg paracetamol, 22.5mg pseudoephedrine hydrochloride, 12.5mg diphenhydramine hydrochloride.

How should they be taken?

Adults and children over the age of 12 should take two tablets up to four times a day. Children 6-12 one tablet four times a day. These tablets are not recommended to children under the age of 6.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding it is always a good idea to check with a doctor before taking any medicines.
It is recommended that you do not drive or opperate heavy machinery while taking these tablets.

What did I think?

I swear by these tablets. I usually use Lemisip however I use these when I feel my cold has gone too far for simply using Lemsip but not far enough to see a doctor. I find after taking these pills for a day or so I begin to feel some bit human again and I would certainly recommend tham to anyone suffering with flu symptoms who can take this sort of medication. They did not make me feel drowsy and I think at £4 for a pack of 24 it is fairly good value.
