Benylin Chesty Coughs Original ... Chesty original is one of the few cold and flu products actually worth buying and using over the winter period. As a pharmacy technician I usually recommend this expectorant for people who are not asthmatic, diabetic or suffering with high blood pressure. It does not taste great (what great acting medicine does?) but as soon as it goes down you can feel the warming action working at the back of the throat. It is best to use this in the start of middle of the cold: An expectorant like this works by loosening mucus on the chest making it easier to cough up and clear. Benylin Chesty Coughs Original ... cold is drawing to a close but I still have a couple of products left to review and Benylin Chesty Coughs Original is one of them. I have used this cough syrup for many years. I use the original rather than the non-drowsy variety for two reasons: firstly, I tend to take it at night and so welcome the associated drowsiness, and secondly, the non-drowsy one gives me weird hallucinations. This cough medicine comes in a brown, glass, transparent bottle. You can see how much is left inside so you know when to buy more, which is useful. Benylin Day and Night Cold Treatment ... get sick pay for crying out loud! Now generally I ll buy Beechams products as I get these cheaper from work, but I had tried Lemsips, Beechams All-in-one and Panadol Extra and nothing seemed to be helping. It got to the point where I was at the end of my tether and starting to get a bit ratty as I was struggling to sleep due to the fact that I was constantly coughing. So I eventually turned to Benylin Day and Night cold treatment.
