Advantages: Prevents the sore if done early enough, much decreased healing time, great pain relief

Disadvantages: expensive, difficult to hide from b/f, three minutes seems like ages to wait, bleeeps very loudly

As a scientist i had my doubts about this devise, there is still very limited data available and it is very expensive for what is essentially an LED. But like the previous reviewer i was desperate for something to fight my cold sores. I used to get cold sores once a month (could almost set my watch by them), i used acyclovir cream and if lucky could occasionally prevent them. This devise has been like a miracle cure. Since using it on two consecutive attacks, with cream, i have yet to experience a further out break. As the previous reviewer said the pain relief is instant, if you get it early enough the blister never appears and if it does healing time is greatly reduced. This devise means im no longer worried by my cold sores, i know when they come again i have found the solution. Well worth the money as acyclovir cream i not cheap.
