Advantages: Big Boobs

Disadvantages: Lots of pain and money.

Cosmetic surgery.

Well I did the breast implant thing a few years ago now. I had just come out of a particularly bad marriage and had lost a major amount of weight so it seems most of your boobs are made of fat so you loose it from there first.

Now I never had massive boobs before I lost weight not gonna give you sizes in case I offend so had very little left and was just plain unhappy. Decided I wanted to get a boob job.

I did my homework and looked about for who seemed to be the best, and found Transform Medical Group on the web. I went along to the clinic in Glasgow for a free consultation to find out more about purchasing my new boobies.

Well took my current hubby with me who was my boyfriend then along with me. We were taken into a small room where lots of implants were sitting on a table. We were encouraged to feel them to see what we thought it felt a bit funny and Ali was chuckling about it too.

But we eventually decided on silicone as this was seemingly the best for the surgeon to work with and the most natural feeling. This had an anti tear sac so no worries with leakage.

I came away very happy and had booked myself in to get my new boobies. It cost me £4500 at that time to make my boobs two sizes bigger. And did not mind paying it as the money came from selling my old house as part of my divorce settlement.

So the day came for the surgery and let me tell you I was nervous I was booked into a private hospital in Glasgow with my own wee room and tv and a nice view from the window Glasgow Nuffield.

So I puts on the lovely tie up the front gown and the paper knickers and the anesthetist came along to speak to me to explain the process. And then the surgeon came and drew all over my boobs with a marker pen.

The nurse came in and gave me a sleeping tablet and the asked me to lie on the wheelie bed and they trundled me off for my surgery. When I got to surgery the surgeon had another we talk with me and then the anesthetist went to work count back from ten. I got to 4.

Next thing I knew I was waking up in the surgery with violent shakes and could not stop crying. I had taken a bad reaction to the anesthetic, the nurses wheeled me up to my room and Ali was there waiting for me when I got into my wee bed I fell asleep.

I woke again to the sound of someone hovering my room I instantly felt sick and vomited up all that was in my tummy several times. I was told that I could not leave until I had eaten something so they gave me an anti sickness tablet and I kept down a cheese sandwich.

I can hear you say what about the boobs???? Well I got what I wanted big boobs and my god they were big and swollen. When I stepped out of my bed for the first time I almost fell over with the new weight took a while to get my balance.

I healed well not much bruising and the scars were hardly noticeable so I had got what I wanted? Or had I? about 3 months later my right breast started to go brick hard and got very painful. So I called transform who told me to come back in.

I went back and my original surgeon who had been a very nice man had a tragic climbing accident and died. So was introduced to a new surgeon who examined my sore boob.
He told me that the implant had encapsulated which means the tissue round the implant had hardened and rejected it.

They told me it would have to come out and a new one put in and the bad tissue removed.
They booked me in for another surgery and off I went. I must add this was at their expense I had no extra payment to make so was fairly ok that I knew it was going to be fixed.

Went along again to the Nuffield and got the same wee room and went through the surgery again with no anesthetic problems this time, as they remembered my previous visit. When I woke I had a drainage tube in my right boob draining the bad blood away.
All was well and the wee nurse came along to remove it.

She pulled on the tube and it wasn't budging she pulled a second time only harder this time. Now bear this in mind I'd just been through surgery and she was pulling a tube that was wrapped around the inside of my boob. I wanted to kill her! I told her if she pulled it once more I would hurt her badly (can't use my exact words on here as it would shock and offend). Anyway she decided to check the bottle and found out there was not enough suction or something and she released the lid on the bottle.

And out came the tube with no force at all but unfortunately so did all the blood that was not draining away and it looked like some kind of horror film. Ali's face turned white and the nurse almost freaked. I had a wee fountain of blood pouring out of me was kinda funny.

So after all that went home healed up nicely and everything was fine for 3 months and had to go through it all again this time they put the implant under the muscle to see if that would help again at no cost to me. But this time they told me they could do no more surgery and that if it went hard this time I would have to foot the bill.

It's amazing how quickly they change their mind when it suits them. I have still got problems with my right breast and it is still hard but not painful. I can see my muscle when I tense my boob.
I will not be going back to Transform and when my time comes for removing the implants I will not be getting them replaced.

My advice to anyone thinking of getting implants DON'T!! Use a padded bra.
It's much less painful trust me.

Thanks for reading hope I didn't gross u out too much.
Sorry no before and after pictures lol

if you are looking for cosmetic surgery try 'whygoabroadfor surgery' they are part of the hospital group but do it cheaper as an incentive to stay in england. they are very helpful and polite and have found my surgery with them a much more pleasurable experience than with transform. transforms surgeons do not work at a set hospital where as the hospital group have its own surgeons that do their private work solely for them. there are no clinics to visit so where you see your consultant is where the surgery takes place. your co-ordinator is available at anytime for calls or texts about anything no matter how trivial. in fact my co-ordinator wanda at the bromsgrove clinic has made the whole experience so much less daunting. just want to say thanx to them all for being so caring
