Advantages: beautiful body or is it realy

Disadvantages: pain and vanity

cosmetic surgery is something that is becoming very popular these days with a lot of good publicity from the stars that people look up to.

There are a lot of shows on this on tv these days advertising the good and the bad to having procedures done.

There are an ever growing list of things people are opting to have done these days with the most popular being breast enlargement, liposuction, tummy tucks, face lifts, nose repairs, neck lifts and ear reshaping.

I understand that there are people out there who need this type of surgery for cosmetic reasons if they are born with a deformity that can be reduced by this but for most of us it is just pure vanity that we turn to such drastic measures.

6 years ago after the birth of my first daughter my breasts were not as firm as they used to be and not as full with a little excess skin that could be filled nicely with an implant to make them look perfect again so i seriously concidered having this done, then reality hit home and i though am i mad, i am going to put my body through major surgery purely for vanity and where does it end, after having this done would i look in the mirror and think yes i am perfect, no as no one is, where would this stop for me, i would have then wanted my tummy tucked to take away the loosening of the skin from the children, liposuction on my hips to remove excess baby weight, my face and neck lifted as i got older and god only knows how many other procedures.

This is the reason i decided against it as there is no point in my opinion putting my body through this unnecesarily, we all get old one day and gradually it will be for me im afraid as i wont be going through this in the name of vanity.

On the other hand to this though i wouldnt say no to having cosmetic dentistry done to keep my teeth looking good as this is without all the risks of surgery and has a relatively easy cut off point.

Summary: would it ever realy be perfect in your eyes
