Advantages: Pleasing to the eye apparently

Disadvantages: No man is coming near my bits with a scalpel thank you

*UPDATE*

I'm sure some of you were inspired to consider this surgery after the program and this op and GOOD NEWS!
It is now being practicised in the UK, Mr Erik Scholten, a plastic surgeon is now undertaking these ops and he can be contacted on 01525 403608, alternatively you can contact the Harley Medical Group on 0800 917 9000.
The approximate prices are £3150 for vaginal tightening, £2600 for clitoral hood removal (because apparently it sags with age!) and £2250 for labial reduction. This will vary according to the level of surgery needed.
It is also possible to get it done on the NHS but only for medical or psychological reasons, any crown nominations will therefore be gratefully received as I dont have any of these excuses.
Well if I'm going to talk the talk I thought I'd better do an opinion on the 'walk'!

I got inspired to write this after a program I watched the other night entitled 'Designer Vaginas', I usually dont write 2 opinions in one day either but this has only just been put on, so dont worry, I'm not going to make a habit of it!

So to the subject......as you might have guessed I am talking about the humble vagina, front bottom, tuppence, down below, the nether regions, what ever you like to call it. For the sake of propriety I shall refer to it as the vagina for this op.

Cosmetic surgery is most often associated with breast implants, nose jobs, face lifts and the odd nip and tuck here and there! Well now you can have every part of your body sculpted including down below! And its becoming very popular, not as much here as in America where the fight to have the body beautiful is paramount.....I wonder if this is taking things a bit far though...
You may have thought that your front bottom was completely fine as it was, if you had watched this programme though you may have had some niggling doubts, so what can you have done?

Perhaps first I shall expla
in what the surgeons can use, getting more and more popular is laser surgery pioneered Dr Glen Matlock of the Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Institue of Los Angeles (yes that is its real name!) and more traditional surgery, i.e. scalpels and things by Dr Gary Alter.

Some women apparently have problems with their labia minora, for the uninitiated that is the inner labia (or lips) of the vagina, the most common complaint is that they are too large or portrude outside the labia majora (outer lips).
You can have LABIA MINORA REDUCTION which involves cutting a v in the labia then stitching the edges together with fine thread. You can also have LASER REDUCTION LABIOPLASTY, this involved scuplting off the edges of the labia with the laser to make them smaller or more even.

Of course other may not be happy with the labia majora, there can be complaints that they are too big, women are unable to wear jeans comfortably, ride bikes, etc (I kid you not!)
There are several options, these are:
LASER PERINEOPLASTY- this can help tight the perinuem after children, it can also enhance the labia.
AUGMENTATION LABIOPLASTY- you know how they can now take fat from parts of your body and use it to enhance others? This is exactly what they do here, they inject it into the labia majora to 'pad' it out, giving it a more 'sculpted' appearance.
For those with the opposite problem there is the VULVA LIPOPLASTY, this involves removing fat from the labia majora and also the mons pubis. This is the pad of fat above your vagina where all the hair is. Apparently this is quite common for swimsuit models who feel that it can protrude too much.

All the above are to give your vagina, in the words of Dr Matlock, a pleasing, attractive and youthful look. Now, I may be wrong, but I cant ever remember my partner saying to me, Blimey, Emma your vaginas looking a bit old and worn these days, why dont you do something. My answer would be to tell him t
o go and get a penis implant!!

But indeed, when you get to that age where tour nether regions are feeling their age, getting a bit wrinkled, a bit saggy, then never despair because something can be done!!
You can have the pubic hair, mons pubis and vaginal region lifted.....a face lift for your fanny!

And in case you lied to your partner and told him you were a virgin and couldnt have sex till you married....but you lied... your problem can be solved with a Hymenoplasty, basically having your hymen reconstructed so you can go through the pleasure of losing your virginity all over again..what fun!!

But there is always the price....now the surgeons are always a bit sketchy, neither will advertise their price, but for the basic laser reduction labioplasty, it is a cool $3,500 to $5,000, and bad news..no one does it here yet! So we are talking thousands of pounds here, not cheap at all!

Nor could I find anywhere thats gives info on what can go wrong with this surgery, Dr Matlock says that the risk is very low because it is all done with lasers. No doubt it is the same with any surgery, infection, etc. Oh yes, did I mention that you have to go 6 weeks without sex? Gives your partner time to admire you new youthful vagina I guess!

Personally, I find this type of surgery quite disturbing, women have too long worried about things like their noses, breasts, wrinkles, etc, now we have a new thing to worry about, is it too big, too little?. Thats ok, I will browse the Playboy magazines and pick the vagina I want,as Dr Matlocks patients do. Surely we must realise that there is no perfect ideal, particularly when it comes to a vagina where we are all different. If there is really a problem, then by all means have the surgery, but for the moment I shall be keeping my vagina the way it is, perfect!

And ladies, stop worrying about it, NOW!
