Cuticura Hand Hygiene Wipes
Advantages: Handy, they work
It is really a rather disgusting thought but according to a BBC study, "It found 31% of men and 17% of women confessed to not washing hands after going to the toilet - many of these believed the toilet was clean, or that they were only coming into contact with their family's germs. This definitely increases the risk of food poisioning and the article went on to say that, "Estimates suggest as many as 4.5 million people suffered from food poisoning in the UK last year - although fewer than 100,000 cases were reported to the authorities."
Admit it, there are times when you probably should wash your hands but are not always able to before you have something to eat. Instances for me are when I have just changed a nappy when we are out for the day but don't have access to a toilet or if I have just put petrol in my car and touched the dirty pump handle but have no where to wash my hands. I also don't like holding the handrail on the London underground or touching money which is notorious for the amount of toilet germs it has on it. It's at these times that hand wipes definitely come in handy.
I've become very used to using baby wipes for all sorts of things but they don't really have disinfecting capabilities whereas these Cuticura Hand hygiene wipes are antibacterial and kill 99.99% of bacteria fast. These are a really handy product to have and very easy to just slip a small pack in your hand bag. Our local chemist sells a pack of 15 wipes for just £1.30 and I really only use them if I am out and don't have access to soap and water so that's not all the time so a pack can last quite a while. I find if you keep them covered the freshness and moistness will stay as well.
The wipes are really just like a baby wipe in feel and texture. They have a slight antibacterial smell to them but they don't sting when you wipe your hands with them and the smell does not linger either which is nice. Afterwards my hands feel nice and clean as I hate having that layer of dirt feeling on my hands but these take that away and are a nice alternative to a liquid antibacterial handwash which I have had problems with spilling in my bag before. The wipes are clean and don't cause damage and I definitely recommend them for healthy hands.
Just think, if everybody had a packet of these how much healthier as a nation would we be.
