Cuticura Hand Hygiene Wipes
Advantages: Very useful and effective, long-lasting
Disadvantages: None I can think of
I studyied Microbiology as one of my modules at University and ever since then, I have a new outlook to the way I take care of my everyday hygiene. I am, by no means, a sloppy person. However, when I was younger, I don't think much about the danger that is invisible. I wash my hands after going to the toilet and always wash hands before having meals. Sometimes this can be impossible if you are on a train or a bus and there's no where to wash your hands. So, I used to take liberties with my hygiene until I start to understand that danger of 'dirty hands' when eating food, especially like sandwiches and chips, which you would just eat by hand without using utensils.
Therefore, I begin to have a packet of this Curticura Hand Hygiene wipes in my bag everywhere I go. I started out by using the Cuticura hand gels, which are quite effective. However, I feel like for the purpose I have, the hand wipes are more useful. As a university student, on the days I have a lot of work/ assignments to do, I usually go the university library or the computer room to do work. I would usually bring a packed lunch. Since I'm on my own usually, it is quite a hassle to just leave all of my books and belongings lying there while I take a quick trip to the toilets to wash my hands. This is where the Cuticura hand hygiene wipes come in very handy. They double both as a hygiene wipes and as a napkin, which is impossible with the gel by the way. It is especially useful if I forget to bring napkins with my lunch, which happens a lot as well.
As for the economical side of it, I believe the product is retailed at a very reasonable price. A packet of 15 wipes costs £1.45 at Boots, and they may cost more or less depending on where you buy it from. So, on average, each wipe costs about 10 p, which I am willing to spend to keep all the harmful bacteria at bay. Most of the times, it only takes a second for a nasty pathogen to get inside the body and they will stay inside forever and cause infections/ illnesses and what not if left untreated. A packet of the wipes last me for about a month, which is quite handy as well. I don't study at university everyday of the week, of course. The scent is very refreshing and makes me feel clean. It does not smell clinical, so it's a plus.
This is only just one scenario, the wipes comes in handy in many different situation. Another case where the wipes help to ease my mind when using the public bathroom. They can be used to wipe the toilet seats and / or when the bathroom run of soaps (which happened to me a few times than I would have liked).
Overall, I am very pleased with the product. I always keep a pack of this in my bag when I am out and about.
Thank you very much for reading. :) x
