... `dentists` antiseptic taste and smell to it, it is recommended for morning and evening use but I always add another midday rinse too. It offers 24 hour protection against the germs that cause plaque and gingivitis. Listerine Antiseptic is made from four essential oils, eucalyptol, menthol, methyl salicylate and Thymol. A 30 second wash out 3 times daily soon enough makes a difference to my sore mouth. I am sure we also get sore mouths if we are a bit `run down`, that is another time when I always consider using Listerine. ...more

It wasn't till a while a go I actually started using mouthwash, I didn't really think there was much point, but after finding out that it was scientifically proven that using Listerine mouthwash reduces about 56% more plaque then brushing alone! In most households, mouthwash is getting more and more popular every week, every time I go to the shops (usually Tescos) there seems to be more mouthwash every time I look at it. I haven't personally tried all of the Listerine products, only two, and so far they've both be good! I'm yet to try more, apart from the Citrus flavour as i've heard bad things about that one - so stay clear! My first, and personal ...

I love ordering free samples of products that I haven't tried before as they can often be expensive if it turns out you don't like them. That's exactly what would have happened with this citrus variety of Listerine. After all its nice to get a bit fruity in the morning. However I found that instead of an orange, lemon and grapefruit taste that I was expecting all it tasted of was disinfectant. Now I know that it's anticeptic but do we really want to swish out our mouth in ...

Like many people, I saw an advert for a free sample of Listerine's mew "Cool Citrus" mouthwash and sent off for a bottle. Having tried it, I am very glad I didn't spend any money on it (around £3 for a full-size 250ml bottle)! It is FOUL! My little 80ml bottle contained a rather dubious looking pinky orange liquid, setting me against the stuff from the start. "Ok," I thought, "be fair, it IS supposed to be citrus so maybe when I open the bottle a medley of beautiful lemon and orange aromas will flood my senses and make me forget my initial reaction." I opened the bottle and, before I even had it close to my nose, I was ...
