Advantages: Easy to take with no side effects

Disadvantages: None

I have terrible problems with my digestion, caused not least by food allergies and food intolerances. So when I read on an online blog that someone else who had similar problems to me, recommended Digestive Enzymes I couldn't get to the health shop quick enough.

Because I am lactose intolerant and vegetarian, finding that Quest Enzyme Digest tablets were vegan meant that they moved from the shelf to the checkout in record time.

They also contain no yeast, wheat, salt or gluten.

They cost me just under £7 for 90 tablets. The dosage is one or two with a meal twice a day.

The supplement contains enzymes to break down fats, carbohydrates and protein and then turn the aforementioned into fuel for the body. Whilst any supplement should never be taken as a substitute for a healthy diet, if you need the help, you need it and I do.

The content is:-
Papain
Lipase
Bromelain
Betaine
Amylase
Peppermint

Now I felt after a short time that they had helped me, so much so that I bought more long before I needed them as I didn't want to risk running out. I take just two tablets a day, but I think I may try increasing to three a day and see if that further improves my situation. The maximum dose is four a day.

I cannot say I will be buying this product for ever, as I hope that one day I won't need them- but in the intermin they will be a permanent feature on my shopping list.

I am not a Doctor, so I cannot recommend this product to you- only advise that it has proved beneficial with no side effects for me.

Summary: Works for me

Bromelain is found in pineapple so if you like and can eat pineapple that should help too.
