The diet intdustry is very big buisness and this product is an example of everything that is wrong with it.

The Fat Metabolisers are sold all over the country in places like Boots, Superdrug, Holland and Barret and even places like Tesco's and Sainsbury's. The fact it is pretty worthless seems not to matter.

This is a collection of weird and wonderful herbs, vitamins, minerals and amino acids that at one time or another have been implicated with fat loss. Some examples are:

Carnatine - this is an Amino acid found in meat that has shown it can aid the body in moving fat from one place to another. In the earky '80's studies indicated it MAY help people to lose fat if they took large quanties of the L-Carnaitne version before intense workouts. This was never conclusively shown though. Even then the dose and type of carnatine are different that the study.

The rest of the ingredients list reads like the also-rans of the diet world (Vanadyl, chromium ect - good for Diabetics, not much else!)

Overall, this will work if the person who buys it gets immersed in the placebo effect. Its real results will mainly concentrate on making your wallet thinner......

I would say try it, you may find it gives you the motivation to workout more and that may help you shed a few more lbs. In reality though, there are lots of better fat loss products out there - steer clear of this one.

There are better ways to lose weight - as an example if you eat in the region of 10-12 cals per lb of bodyweight per day you will lose about 1-2lbs per week. Plain and simple. Aim for a 40% cabr, 30% protein and 30% fat diet.
