Advantages: very affordable,quality product

Disadvantages: cant think of any?

This is the best lip balm that I have bought or used in a long time.
'The Little Green Tin' is a Superdrug product and is on the market for a mere 0.89p!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now you can't argue with that.

It is one of three, I believe, in Superdrugs 'Lip Therapy' range - the other two being the little 'blue' and the little 'pink' tin. The blue tin is their original and the green tin is the aloe vera version with an apple flavour. The pink tin is slightly more expensive though Im not sure why as I have not purchased or used this version?

But I have been using the little green tin, for some time now, and it is wonderful. It has a petroleum jelly base so it is lovely to apply and gives an instant feeling of moisture which is perfect for dry, cracked or chapped lips.

Aloe vera is itself a wonderful plant with many healing and soothing properties ad having this added extract has certainly enhanced this product. It does feel very soothing on the lips and is not tacky or heavy to wear. It has a slight apple flavour which is pleasant and not too overpowering which is good because that can often cause you to lick your lips too much after application which kind of defeats the object - hence me never buying chocolate flavoured lip gloss!!!!

You don't get that problem with this product though as it is subtle in flavour and soothing in texture, whilst conditioning the lips at the same time.
It can be worn on its own - it looks great as an alternative to gloss, or wear it over the top of your lipstick to give a lovely shine
or gloss effect.

The tin itself is great because it is durable and offers good protection for the product as there is very little chance of it getting damaged through everyday use, and it is pocket or handbag size so very convenient for carrying around with you, especially at this time of year. It is also recyclable which is perfect.

Although the tin is small there is a lot of product inside, so its not all packaging, and it does last for ages.

I wont be switching to another brand anytime soon!

Summary: great value for money

Yes try it! Ok maybe I did get a little carried away with the old exclamation marks - point taken - but we are in a recession after all and 89p please, for lip balm, that is exciting, isn't it?
