Nurofen ... like me, when you feel like your head is about to split into two, paracetamol just won t get rid of the agonising headache, the only product which seems to work for me (that is the only non-prescription item) is Nurofen. Nurofen is an Ibuprofen based over the counter drug which provides pain relief. Not only does it remove headaches, but also muscular pain, reduces cold and flu symptoms, as well as several other aches and pains. In my personal experience the time of effectiveness seems to usually be around 15 to 20 minutes for the pain to be reduced or removed. Immodium ... have suffered and have been diagnosed with IBS-D for about eighteen months and in this time have tried every anti-diarrhoea tablet I have come across- from many supermarkets own brands to other brand names. On every single packet it says the same under ingredients- 2mg loperamide hydrochloride-so why Imodium always works the best I cannot answer- but it does. I don t want this to be the case as the price in my local supermarket is 96p for their own brand, whereas the Imodium is £3.95. But when you have diarrhoea it isn t about price it s about what works. Jungle Formula Insect Repellent Lotion ... s the time of year again when all the blood sucking insects are waking up and searching out those mobile blood banks called humans! I hate being bitten by insects. It s not the pain, or the possible side effects, or even the possibility of transmittal of diseases. No, for me, it s the thought of being fed upon and used as a meal, yuk! This is unfortunate as I love my walks in the countryside, especially at this time of the year.
