Advantages: 6 functions, low price, easy to assemble and small, so great to store.

Disadvantages: Can take a while to assemble.

I have always had an interest in keeping fit and more importantly keeping my weight down. I used to be a member of a gym but since I have had children there is no time for going to the gym. When I had my first baby I started doing exercise DVD's but after a while I got bored of these so decided to purchase a piece of exercise equipment.

I decided on an exercise bike and I bought this one from the Argos for £69.99 that was a while ago so the price may differ now. The cheap price tag and the fact it is relatively small is what made me choose this bike.

When I got the bike home it was time to assemble it and this did take about an hour and that was with the help of my husband. The master parts and accessory list has 42 items on it, so as you can imagine it took a while. There are 8 instructions on how to assemble and a diagram for every instruction. It is very clear and easy to understand but just takes a while.

Once assembled you can adjust the height of the seat and you can adjust the pedalling resistance. Basically you can make it easy or hard.
I would suggest starting on an low resistance and after a while adjust the pedalling resistance to make it a harder workout.

The bike also comes with a digital monitor which is set to start automatically when you begin to cycle This measures time, distance, speed and the calories you burn, and you can scan between these options so you can view them all while cycling. I always try to cycle for a certain amount of time or burn a certain amount of calories and this function is fab for measuring this.
There is also an ear lobe pulse sensor but this is not something I use.

In the booklet provided with the bike there is also five pages of exercise information, how to warm up and cool down etc. I think this is especially handy if you've not exercised in a while.

I love my exercise bike and after years of having it I still use it quite often, I do have times where I am lazy and don't use it but I think having a piece of exercise equipment in your house is a great incentive to keep fit. The V Fit Cycle is perfect for the job.
