MALU Spinal Stenosis: ... need for me to look for a title this time! I love alliterations, maybe this is the reason why fate has presented me with a disease with the name Spinal Stenosis. It s the No 1 of all spine related diseases, if you haven t heard about it yet, you re most likely younger than 60 and the older members of your family are lucky not to have it. What is it? Stenosis means narrowing of the channels in the spine where the...

Lady_Alys Hayfever
... body seems to go through a strange yearly illness cycle, beginning of spring right through until the end of summer is Hayfever time. I rememer when i was younger I never had hayfever but I was told it can affect people in 7 year cycles but I think this is an old wives tale as I have had mine for at least 10 years now. I tried tablets but they took long to take effect and then did little to ease the discomfort as well as not being able to drive while on most of them. I tried the natural way of simply washing my eyes out, blowing my nose etc to see if that helped but to no avail. And then I struck upon something that had been a part of my life for so long. When I was you...

katyboo123 Hayfever
... my favourite word of half of spring, all of summer, the beginning of Autumn. Generally from March to October I suffer terrible hayfever. I am one of them unfortunate people, who not only have hayfever, but I have eczema and asthma too. All three tend to worsen each other, so when my hayfever is bad, I m a wheezing walking rash. Its not pleasant. This is how I attempt to cope: To tackle my hayfever, I use a nasal spray called Flixonase which is the brand name for the drug, Fluticasone. This is a Corticosteroid, and is used widely in the prevention and relief of allergic rhinitis, allergies inside the nose, inflammation of the inside of the nose all commonly cause...

... on from reading Totalserenity s review on the weight issue I wanted to write my own. My opinion may mean nothing to some people, especially as I myself am not overweight. However, what many people fail to forget is the loved ones that have to listen to nasty comments regarding their parents/siblings/partner/friends weight issues. Like I said, I weigh what is an average weight for my height. I am 5 4 and weigh just over 8 stone. My Mum is the same height and is considered very overweight. In saying that I dont look at my mum and think she is any less beautiful. It is heartbreaking to watch somebody you love battle with weight. My mum has been on every diet going...
