Advantages: the feelings
Disadvantages: problems
First of all if any readers have already read this, then they will realise that I have changed my whole opinion. This is because after reading the whole review again this morning, and reading the great comments and pointers that I have recieved from readers I have came to the conclusion that I am alright. I admit my review was messy last night, and I didn't put any feeling into it. I wrote down a lot which seemed to put me down and describe myself as needy, which I am not. Yesterday I asked the question to the readers wheather they thought I had a problem with alcohol. The reason I asked this was because of my style of drinking. Instead of drinking every night or so I tend to drink once a week, but perhaps have 10 or 11 drinks in this time. Writing this again I would identify this as normal. It is always a saturday night I do this after work, and i'm sure loads of people do the same if they are out clubbing or that. Since I finish work at 23:00 it is too late to go out and enjoy myself. One of my friends is what I would call an alcoholic. She drinks every night until she is paralytic. It is always vodka because it is the cheapest. If she runs out of her usual mixer, she will mix is with anything else. Me on the other hand will only drink with a certain mixer. If I run out, then I stop drinking. Since it is christmas I have been drinking more than usual. I have had 2 drinks a night and they were single shots in tall glasses, apart from last night I had a triple shot in a tall glass. I never drink to get drunk, and I have never been drunk in my whole life, whereas Lorna - my friend cannot face a day without a bottle. I don't see drink as playing an important part in my life. Sometimes I have went months without drinking, so I don't see a problem there. Another point I mentioned last night was that I thought sex was great after some drinks. Well who doesn't think that? I know why as well, because I am so
much more relaxed. I know I worded it wrong last night, and looking back at the paragraph it sounded like I didn't enjoy it without a drink. That certainly isn't true, but that was my fault. It did read like that. So to end I don't feel like I have a problem. I'm 21 and supposedly this is the age group who drink the most, I don't know this though. I know people who I feel have a problem and I am nothing like them. I am glad I wrote about this topic though. I have answered my own questions and have had good comments from my readers. Thanks you Have a great new year!

- 28/12/01 I think you're right, but I think it was good of you to write the op - because a lot of people will have similar concerns about themselves. |

- 28/12/01 Thanks for all the comments. Looking back I don't see it as a problem. A lot of what I have wrote has been picked up on and I admit it has been wrote stupidly. As for my quote by gothiron I buy alcohol occasionally, and it can lie around the house for ages. I got a full bottle for christmas and am saving it for a special occasion, so I am not tempted as soon as I buy. Who doesn't like the feelings you get after you drink a few? And I certainly don't need it to function or enjoy sex. half of you feel I am normal and I agree. |
