Irritable Bowel SyndromeNewest Review: ... more relieved than I was when I was finally diagnosed, and approached everything after that with the methodical work ethic that I love her for. However, once you're diagnosed with IBS, you start to realise just how many other people have the same problem. A year after my diagnosis, my uncle started dating a lady who had IBS also, and she's been so helpful to me in the years since. And ... more |

My Life & IBS I was diagnosed with IBS at the age of 10, after 5 years of being bounced from doctor to doctor trying to work out what the hell was wrong with me. Before this, I'd been diagnosed with everything under the sun, from stomach migraines, Crohns disease, candida, gastritis; one doctor even told my mother he thought i had stomach cancer. The big problem is that there's no real 'test' for IBS; everything else has to be ruled out in order for it to be diagnosed, and there are so many gastrointestial problems that it could be that doctors cannot assume IBS as it could be much more serious. Obviously, the person in my life that was most ... Read the complete review

If you are a regular reader of my reviews you will know that l suffer with a condition known as ME/CFS. One symptom many sufferers experience with this condition, is the symptoms of IBS (Irritable bowl syndrome) so l thought l would share my experiences. This isn't likely to be a very'nice' review, as the symptoms of IBS aren't very pleasant at all. What is IBS? *********** IBS stands for Irritable Bowl Syndrome. IBS and Me........... Not really being a subject and symptoms that are easily discussed with another person, no matter how close that person may be to you, for many years, like so many others, I suffered in silence with my all embarrassing symptoms. I would lie in bed many a night worrying myself sick that something serious was wrong, but then by the time morning arrived I would be feeling normal again. I couldn't go to my GP, he would just think I was wasting his time, why should I waste an appointment that someone who was really ill could be using when my pain kept disappearing?! That was exactly what I was told when I did pluck up the courage to go ... Read the complete review

I'm sat here writing this with a gurgling stomach. It's not that I'm hungry, it's just that on a not-so-good day my digestive system gurgles more than a witches boiling cauldron. It's embarrassing as hell when you're at work or with friends! Such is life with IBS. IBS (or Irritable Bowel Syndrome) isn't one of those things you can easily discuss with anyone. I mean, who really wants to know about your bowel habits?! Still, work want to know why you weren't in work on a particular day and "bad stomach" is usually the answer. IBS affects the digestive system and is a common condition. The main symptoms include abdominal pain (stomach ache) ... Read the complete review

Do you ever lie in bed some mornings and know something isn't quite right but you aren't sure what it is. You feel lethargic, your head feels muddled and you have a dragging feeling on the right side of your abdomen. When you do eventually get out of bed you drag yourself into the bathroom or into the living room where you sit on the sofa staring into space. You would like a cup of tea but can't really be bothered to even flick the switch on the kettle. As the morning moves on you don't move with it - you just feel so lazy and really don't want to do anything. You try to cheer yourself up but that darn pain in the side hurts and the whole of your stomach feels so bloated ... Read the complete review
