I think it's disgusting that parents feed their children a load of fatty, sugary rubbish, spawning generation after generation of obese people. The majority of fat children will stay fat for their entire lives, they can't enjoy life to the full and are more prone to heart attacks, angina, strokes, high blood pressure and certain cancers. Jamie Oliver deserves a knighthood for the way he's helped pursuade the government to change school dinners from unhealthy junk food to balanced meals. It's just a shame that a lot of parents still don't have a clue what to feed their children. We have two boys who both love fruit and veg- that's because we've offered them a varied, nutritional diet from the start.
It's up to parents to give their kids a good start- teaching them to eat greasy junk food is just paving their way to an early grave.
Summary: Give your little ones the best start you can

- 23/10/06 Until our supermarkets stock a better range of foods we will remain an unhealthy nation. You have only to look in a French or Spanish supermarket (even the small ones) and their ranges of fruit, veg, meat and fish are far superior to those in our biggest supermarkets. Why? |

- 23/10/06 Hi i see you are over here too! I think parents know deep down in their heart what foods are right. it is just actually buying them. i do think very young children should not be exposed to sweets etc |

- 23/10/06 I'd just like to point out that Jamie Oliver is not the healthiest bloke around. Keeping fit is not always that easy, but atleast we can eat right. |
