Obesity in England is definatley on the increase, this i must agree but what i dont think is fair is that the fast food companys and the goverment are being blamed for it.

The only person you can blame for being obese is the obese person, no one forced them to eat so much or such a quantity of unhealthy food.

The only person who can controll what you eat is you, so all these obese people out there claiming i dont eat a lot are obviously not telling the truth.

The odd mc donalds even if it is super sized or the odd chocolate bar is no going to make you obese.

We do not need to stop selling or promoting unhealthy foods people just need to learn how to eat these types of food in moderation and encorporate there little luxurys into an everyday balanced diet.

I do not believe that people can use there genes as an excuse either, a good example of this is my brother is 24 stone and 6 foot tall purely because he lives on a diet of take aways. The cafe for breakfast mc donalds for dinner, chinese or pizza for tea and usually a kebab on his way home from the pub.
Me on the other hand coming from the same family and having the same genes weigh 8 stone and am 5 foot 8 inches tall, i do not starve my self as many jelous women have asked and i dont watch what i eat i just encorporate fruit, veg and exercise into my life which my brother doesnt. If you mentioned the gym to my brother he would think it was a new chocolate bar.

I think it is about time we all took responsibility for what we are putting into our own bodys and started living a healthier life style.

What happens when my brothers health starts to effect his life?
I already know the answer to this, he will sit on his backside claiming benefits because he is too ill to work and continue to get fatter and iller.
What when he needs medical treatment for his illnesses all self inflicted by obesity?
He will use the nhs.

So not only are obese people effecting there own lives but also the lives of others by sponging off our benefit systems and using up the valuable resorces of the nhs. is this realy fair.

Ok i could rant all night about this but i think i have already said far too much, sorry to offend anyone but this is what i believe

Summary: a balanced diet and a little exercise could stop all the problems.
