... I received some Clubcard vouchers in the post pertaining to Tesco Opticians. One of the vouchers was for a free eye test, so I thought I may as well give them a go since I had nothing to lose! Booking an appointment was done via a call to an 0845 number. I was able to book an appointment convenient to me, within about 10 days of calling. Upon arrival, I handed over my voucher & after only a couple of minutes wait, I was taken through for some initial tests (such as the horrid puff of air glaucoma test!). ... and can see with them in, this leading me to belive he knew what he was doing, he may however of just got lucky, we will never know) The lenses I recived where reasonably priced and are comfortable, your aftercare is included and they keep in contact to make sure you are not having any problems. Its a nice gesture but I think if I had a sudden onset of blindness they would of known about it long before they had chance to ring me. All in all its fair to say Tesco opticians provide an excellent and well priced service, which is relaxed, friendly and more importantly accurate. I would advise you all give them consideration before your next trip to your regular optician....

... in the past, as I thought their buy one get one free on glasses was such a good deal. Now it seems all opticians seem to be doing this offer, I guess they had to, to compete. I receive reminder letters from Specsavers regularly telling me it s been years since I ve had an eye test and I really should do something about it or words to that effect. They quoted £20 for the test, however in Tesco I noticed they were doing the tests for free. Looking at the frames there were some very good looking ones too.
