I was fortunate not to need glasses until later in life. It all started with my vision not being quite as sharp as it had always been, so thought I'd better book an eye test. The optician confirmed I had what they called "age deterioration" - in other words, I was getting old! To make me feel better she said it usually happed around ... Read the complete review

I work a lot with computers and, unfortunately, this has left me a certain 'fuzziness' at long-distance (especially after a long day at the office). The last time I visited the opticians was around ten years ago, so I booked myself in to the local Asda opticians for a check up. Overall I must say that I was thoroughly ... Read the complete review

Having been with my old opticians since childhood, I never really shopped around before now and the reason I decided to now is that I no longer buy monthly contact lenses on direct debit as I wear my glasses most of the time now. However, I do want some daily disposables for special occasions and decided to try Asda out to see what they could ... Read the complete review

I have been very impressed with the customer service i have recieved using Asda Opticians. I was attracted as my standard contacts (Acuvue Daily) were cheaper than Boots and that there was one based in my local Asda store so it was convienient. I haven't actually visited the opticians at an Asda store and this review is solely on the online ordering service for their contact lenses and solution. Apologies if this review is in the wrong place, but it seemed the most logical to me! I have ordered my contact lenses and solutions online from Asda Opticians on three occasions and I ... Asda Opticians, Both myself and my mum have used Asda opticians at the Kingswood store in Hull. For me personally i found them to be extremely efficient when conducting eye tests giving details of the results and advising on what glasses would best suit me. I have worn spectacles since my late thirties, so getting on for twenty years now. My eyesight has increasingly deteriorated and my previous optician told me, a couple of years ago, that I was starting with cataracts. Lovely, yet another bonus of getting old. Except for once I have used Dollond and Aitchison for my eye test and to ... Read the complete review
