Rescue Night
I have recently not being sleeping very well, and having put it down to the fact that I was doing too much thinking, decided to try to sort it out before it became a real issue. I have used the Rescue products before and like the fact that they are all natural ingredients, so decided to give this a go- helped by the fact that there was an offer on the products in Boots.
This is apparently a "unique" combination of the flower essences of Rock Rose, Impatiens, Clematis, Star of Bethlehem, Cherry Plum with White Chestnut. For anyone who knows anything about the healing properties of plants, then this will mean something but for me it means nothing, but it does sound natural. When I read the information leaflet, I do discover that White Chestnut is used to help switch off the mind from unwanted repetitive thoughts, and that the combination of the essences will give you a good nights sleep.
The product comes in a small bottle with a 10ml dropper to administer the stuff with the simple instructions and information on the side- obviously not many because the bottle is so small. The liquid itself doesn't really have any smell and when taken, the only very faint taste is a kind of floral taste, so it's not unpleasant.
USING IT...
The instructions tell me that the product is suitable for all of the family, and although it doesn't give any age restrictions, this is something I would not be giving to children.
It is suggested that the dropper is used to put four drops of the liquid onto the tongue, or four drops can be added to water and sipped at intervals. Because there is no real taste, I find it easier to just add the drops to my tongue rather than sipping at water.
It is quite difficult to measure out the four drops, and I am unsure as to whether a drop is a small drop from the dropper or one big squeeze. I find that a drop tends to be the amount of liquid with which you fill the dropper.
The other problem I have is that although the instructions satate that I should take four drops at a time, it doesn't say when (how long will it take to work?) nor does it tell me how often the drops should be taken.
PRICE AND AVAILABILTY
I bought mine from Boots, because there was an offer on, although I think it retails around the £6 mark, for 10ml of the stuff

MY VERDICT
Did it work? I am honestly not sure. I was never that convinced about sleeping tablets, and I don't think that this product has convinced me. I still think that if you can't sleep you can't sleep. Yes, some nights when I haven't been able to sleep I have taken this and then a while later gone to sleep but I think that would have happened anyway.
On the plus side, the product won't do you any harm and is easy to take although I wish the instructions told me how often to take the drops.
I think they may work for anyone who WANTS them to work- they may have a really good psychological effect but I don't think that I will be buying it again. However, although I will be giving this product a low rating, strangely enough I will recommend it for the reasons stated above- natural ingredients and potential psychological positive effect.
Potentially Good but not for me.
Thanks for reading.
