Batemans Opticians was a family owned business, comprising around 75 small optical practices.It had a reputation as a very professional, traditional business, giving the kind of personal service you will find difficult to locate these days.Sadly, the business was swallowed up by Vision Express in 2008.You will still find some of the remaining Batemans staff not made redundant, at some of the Batemans/vision express stores.
