Boots Dry Eyes Eye Drops
Advantages: Moisture, can use with contacts
It's either the late nights and early mornings with my toddler And new born but my eyes have been really tired looking and bloodshot recently and by the time I get to the end of the day they are really sore and dry and probably just need to be closed and given constant sleep for about a week but because that is not an option I decided to invest in some eye drops to freshen them up a bit.
I decided upon these dry eyes eye drops from Boots. The drops come in a little plastic bottle and costs just £3.10 for a 10ml bottle which I think is quite good value. Boots pharmaceuticals dry eye eye drops are said to provide effective and long lasting relief, moisturising and soothing dry and tired eyes. Perfect, this was exactly what I was looking for.
The drops are really easy to use. The little bottle has a twist off cap and then there is a little nozzle at the top of the bottle. You are meant to add 2 or 3 drops of the solution into your eyes and then blink Two or three times so it gets distributed around your eye. The bottle is not squeeze so you cannot squeeze the drops out but if you hold it upside down you can see that the solution drops out quite easily so it's easy to get the drops in your eye. Sometimes maybe a couple more drops will come out than you want but I don't think this is a really big problem. The little bottle is quite chunky so easy to hold on to and position near your eye. One tip I would give is to not touch your eye with the nip of the bottle as this could cross contaminate your eyes if you have anything wrong with them.
The main reason why I bought these eye drops, other than price, is because you can use them with contact lenses and I as a contact lens wearer find this very handy. Contacts really help to dry out my eyes during the day as well but sometimes I need to wear them for long periods during the day so it's nice to be able to add these drops whilst I am wearing my lenses and then go about my day.
So, have they helped? Well, I've still got that permanently tired look but I think with young children that will never go away. However, when I use these drops they do add some much needed moisture to my eyes and my eyes are not as sore by the end of the day as they usually are so I think I will stick with using them.
