Boots not what they were (Boots Opticians)
Member Name: unimpressed
Advantages: Boots saving money Disadvantages: Boots losing a long standing customer In March a bought reading glasses from Boots Opticians and in June I inadvertently dropped them in a car park. They were slightly scratched from the fall but unfortunately the arm fell off, not at the screw but where the sidepiece joins the eyepiece and it really must have been weakly attached. Boots said that because they were scratched I had been abusing them and denied all responsibility. The glasses were not the cheapest but clearly in my opinion cannot have been up to merchantable quality. After all I can't be the first person to drop glasses and really do feel that Boots have been dishonourable. I have been going there for years and bought many pairs of glasses before having laser surgery at their place in Leeds. I don't think that they are the company that they were. By treating me like this they have saved a few pounds admittedly but have lost a customer for ever. Summary: Unhappy with Boots attitude toward quality |
