As I have some fertility issues and an irregular cycle it's not unusual for me to have to do a pregnancy test from time to time to check if I am pregnant or it's just another one of those times where I end up feeling like my body is letting me down. I purchased a double test set from Boots for £4.99 and this has been the price for at least the past year (it used to be much more expensive in the past I believe but has since come down year on year). The tests are individual wrapped in blue & white wrapping (which seems to be standard for most tests) and then you receive one paper set of instructions and this is all neatly packaged within a ... There are certain times in a woman's life when she can be found hanging furtively around that section of Boots. You know the section, the one that's jam packed full of condoms and then if you look closely you'll find the pregnancy testing kits. Now if you're hanging around there due to the fact that you'd rather have your toe nails pulled out then be preggers then you'll notice that rather cruel and ironic joke! If you're hoping you are pregnant you'll smile smugly thinking I'll not be needing them! Back in 1987, I found myself along with my flat mate one Saturday afternoon in a very busy Boots store - so busy we ... Read the complete review

After a fling, I had the pregnancy symptoms and guessed that I may be pregnant. It had been almost 12 years since my last pregnancy though and I couldn't be sure, so I bought some of these from boots for £4.99 (and got the points on my boots advantage card) You get two tests that are individually wrapped in blue & white wrapping along with an instructions leaflet. It all comes in a nice sealed box for added promise. I found the instruction leaflet very useful. It had the results and what they look like on the pregnancy test. It also had some FAQs like what if my period doesn't come but the test is still negative. It told you that you can either ... Read the complete review

I recently purchased a double pregnancy test kit from boots, and thankfully only needed to use one of the tests. When scrolling through the shelve with all the pregnancy tests at boots, most of the products seemed fairly similar in terms of accuracy, how early they could detect a pregnancy and the method which is used to take the tests. However there was a big difference between costs and extra features on test. Instead of merely detecting a pregnancy and displaying a positive sign or line, some tests have the ability to read 'pregnant' or 'not pregnant' as well as provide an estimate as to how many weeks pregnant someone is. These extra bells and whistles added to the ... Read the complete review

I have just spent the best part of 2 hours with my best friend trying in vain for her to get a reading from a pregnancy kit. The boots pregnancy kit is pretty standard like most other kits, it comes boxed and the wand is wrapped in a foil like wrapping. The instructions are to hold the wand in your urine stream for 5 seconds, no less and no more. Then you are to lay the wand on a flat surface and wait 1 minute for the test to work. You must see a blue line appear in the oval window to indicate the test had worked and then you get your result in the square window which indicates whether or not you are pregnant. The kit claims to have 99% accuracy and to work as ... Read the complete review
