Back in the summer of 2007, I realised I could be pregnant and decided to test. I originally took a Sainsburys test 3 days after my peroid was due which immediately told me I was pregnant.

2 days later, I became paranoid I wasn't actually pregnant (hormones!) and took another test, this time from Boots. It cost around £6 from what I remember and was just a testing stick in a white plastic wrapper with a small instruction sheet.

It's the usual test that you urinate on and wait a few minutes for the result. Perhaps because I was 5 days overdue, my two lines showed up almost instantly along with the test line.

For me, I had no issues with the test at all and it worked correctly and promptly for me. I don't know however how well it would work if you tested before your period was due on.

Not a bad price either, compared to other more expensive tests that do the same.
