As with calamine lotion the idea is to coat the affected area with a reasonable amount of the cream. Of course when you're doing entire arms, legs or torsos then it means you'll be using a substantial amount of the pot in one go. If you're dabbing, say onto chicken pox spots, then a pot will last quite a while. The cream brings my daughter almost instant relief, and means her skin lives to fight another ...more

Crowned Review Care Aqueous Calamine Cream: Itchy skin, be gone! (339 words)

My daughter has the misfortune to suffer from very sensitive skin, and I'll often turn round to find her scratching herself red raw. It needn't be anything touching the skin, her skin will start to burn purely from being to cold or too hot. We're not exactly sure what causes it, but the Aqueous Calamine Cream certainly helps her find some relief from it. The cream is great for relief against the pox, sunburn and other mild skin irritations. The cream comes in a 100ml tub. The cream is quite thick, thicker than a moisturiser, probably about the same consistency as ready to use mustard (I know, strange comparison). Premium Review FEELING HOT HOT HOT...........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (851 words)

My husband decided to take my son out a few weeks ago when we had that extremely lovely hot weather which alas seems like a distant memory now. It looks like we may get forty days of rain right enough, however I digress. We are very particular about ensuring that our six year old son is literally caked all over in factor 50 and total block to keep him safe to enjoy fun in the sun. Hubby on the other hand thought that it simply was not hot enough for him to require cream himself. Big mistake however oh boy did he suffer the consequences when he returned home in the evening glowing redder than poor old rudolphs nose. I as many of you will know am a registered ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Care Aqueous Calamine Cream: Cooling, soothing miracle cream (488 words)

After having a lovely day out with hubby and bambino yesterday, I noticed that I had managed to get sunburnt, despite smothering myself in sun cream. I therefore reached for some ultra cooling miracle cream. No, not after sun, my trusted aqueous and calamine cream. It's pretty much what it says on the tin, aqueous cream mixed with calamine. Aqueous cream on its own it renowned for its moisturising properties whilst calamine is synonymous with soothing itchy, irritated skin. So mix them together and what do you get? A miracle cream. This miracle stuff comes in a rather uninspiring white tub which when opened reveals a pink-ish cream. You apply it in ...  Read the complete review

When Little Miss woke us with an outbreak of spots, which increased in number as the day progressed, we decided that it was indeed chicken pox. A quick visit to the doctor confirmed this, and we braced ourselves for the itching which would follow. The doctor advised a combination of calamine cream, antihistemine medicine and calpol, so once we had procured all of these goodies, we were ready to tackle this ailment. The cream did in fact prove to be worth its weight in gold!! **The Packaging** The cream comes in a small white 100ml tub, and once the seal is broken, the lid can be lifted off easily. All of the instructions and ...  Read the complete review
