Pregnancy test for dummies (like me!) (Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test with Conception Indicator)
Member Name: greysanatomyfan
Advantages: Easy to read, conception indicator nice added bonus Disadvantages: Expensive I always thought a digital pregnancy test was an unnecessary expense. After all, it's very easy to count one or two lines on a standard pregancy test, isn't it? How wrong I was! I used a standard pregnancy test on the day my period was due and I could only see one line, indicating I was not pregnant. However the Clearblue digital pregnancy test gave me a positive result and told me it had been only 1-2 weeks since conception. It was another few days before I could make out a very faint second line on a standard pregnancy test, and then you could only see it by holding it up to the light! However the clearblue digital is very pricey, usually around £9.99 each. My advice would be that it's worth the extra cost if you are testing early or you want to know how far along you are into your pregnancy. If using it to test how far along you are, please bear in mind that you have to use the first urine of the day and the maximum it goes up to is 3+ weeks after conception. Summary: Recommended if testing early |
