Advantages: Cleans stains, pleasant taste

Disadvantages: Quite expensive

This one wins for me in the range of "Smokers" or whitening toothpastes. I've found many others to be over-priced, chalky tasting or just plain ineffective but this falls into none of those categories.

Clinomyn is still a little more expensive than your average toothpaste (about £2.00) but worth it. It has a fresh minty flavour without being overpowering or blowing your head off like some others. No chalky feeling in the mouth or residue after brushing either.

Available in a old-fashioned tube only (no fancy pumps!) it does look rather old-fashioned admittedly - a white tube with trademark blue and green colouring with the box being the same, but don't let that put you off. Most supermarkets and good chemists stock it so it's not hard to come by.

The most important bit, of course, is does it work? Well, yes, certainly for me anyway. It has fluoride to protect the teeth, as a normal toothpaste would, but also effectively and easily removes those surface stains from smoking, coffee, wine etc even after one (thorough) brushing and with continued use the effects are greater. Initially you probably won't notice any stunning effects but if you use it as your regular toothpaste the gradual effectiveness will start to shine through and it will remove stains such as tea, coffee, red wine and tobacco.

I recommend it!
