Premium Review Coffea: The "Happy" Drink! (556 words)
by - written on 01/12/01 (Very useful, 129 readings)
Rating:

Coffea (Coffea arabica, Coffea cruda, coffee) Legend says that the first known discovery of coffee berries, was made in c 850 by a Ethiopian goat herder called Kaldi who noticed that his goats were friskier after eating the red berries of a local shrub. He experimented with the berries himself and began to feel happier! Around the year 1100 coffee trees were first cultivated on the Arabian Peninsula. The Coffee bean was first roasted and then boiled by the Arabs making "qahwa" - a beverage made from plants. In 1475 the world’s first coffee shop opened in Constantinople. It was followed by the establishment of two coffeehouses ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Coffea. A miracle? (158 words)

My daughter is now five and a half years old and hadn't slept for more than three or four hours at a time in all those years. I had tried Phenergan and Vallergan from the Doctors to no avail, and in desperation I turned to the Pharmacist in Boots Chemist. She suggested I tried a Homeopathic treatment, Coffea, didn't offer any guarantees but said she'd had some good feedback on its use. Very sceptical, I tried it. For the first time my daughter slept through the night! Still doubting its effectiveness, but willing to keep trying, it is now six weeks later and she is sleeping at least eight hours a night. Miracles do happen! I can't guarantee it will ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Coffea: Need a good nights sleep? (117 words)
by - written on 17/08/00 (Very useful, 185 readings)
Rating:

Coffea is a homeopathic remedy made from the mocha bean. It might seem a bit odd to use what is commonly thought of as a stimulant to calm and sedate someone, but that is the peculiarity of homeopathy – something that would more commonly cause the ailment is used to cure it. Coffea is used to calm someone who is lively and excited. It is ideal to use on a child that has sleeping problems – especially when they are too excited to sleep, i.e the night before Christmas or their Birthday. I have used it on both my children, and on myself, and I wake the following day calm and refreshed, and with no sign of grogginess. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Letting The Air Out! (233 words)
by - written on 08/08/00 (Very useful, 101 readings)
Rating:

After reading the other review and 'speaking' to the writer I decided to use Coffea on my own children, one of which is 'hyperactive' the other, a daughter, who simply plays out all day and refuses to finish playing in the evening, therefore bed times tend to be a bit of a farce. I also decided to try the remedy myself to see if it would help me 'drop of' one night when my mind was spinning round and round. The night I tried it on my daughter she was doing the usual paddying of not wanting to go to bed (even though her bed times are getting later and later and later) and she seemed to settle reasonably well. In 20 minutes she was fast ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Coffea: A quiet evening! (268 words)
by - written on 30/11/00 (Very useful, 123 readings)
Rating:

This is a homeopathic Coffee remedy that was recommended to me because my eight year old son has difficulty in settling down to sleep at night. This probably isn’t helped by the fact that he is on Ritalin during the day, which is an amphetamine! The first night that he tried it, I gave him two tablets to suck slowly about 30 minutes before sending him to bed. He went to bed at 8 o’clock and didn’t come downstairs again that night! I went up to check up on him at about 10 to 9 and he was asleep. He is often still awake when we go to bed. It doesn’t work all the time, I would say about 90% of the time, but that is quite ...  Read the complete review
