Advantages: Minty fresh breath that lasts

Disadvantages: High alcohol content and makes your mouth dry because it's so strong

I thought I'd give this mouthwash a go, as it was on offer in Boots a few weeks ago. It is pretty good at freshening up your mouth and a fresh feeling does last some time. It tastes really minty as well, which I like.

I have to say though that the negatives outweigh the positives. Although it is nice to use a strong mouthwash because you really feel as though it is getting your teeth and gums as clean as they can be, the inside of the mouth is a very sensitive area and you wouldn't necessarily want to strip it of every living particle!

I read the ingredients, which I won't bother listing here because most of them mean nothing to me and you can look at a bottle to find that out if you are so inclined. The one ingredient I did want to highlight though is alcohol. It is listed as the third ingredient on the bottle. This is slightly worrying because alcohol is not good for tooth enamel.

I can't comment on the whitening aspect. I've been using it a few weeks (I know I said I didn't like it but I've paid for it so I'm using it up! I just won't buy it again). I haven't noticed my teeth are any whiter than normal and nobody has been dazzled by my smile but I'm not convinced by any of these whitening products really. I'm sure this one works as well as the others. I've tried colgate whitening toothpaste and I like it so I guess the same 'whitening' special effects go into this mouthwash too.

All in all, it's a bit too strong for me but it does make your mouth lovely and fresh feeling. Beware the alcohol though! Do you really want to rinse your mouth with alcohol?!

Summary: Quite a good mouthwash all in all but I would avoid any that contain alcohol.
