Advantages: A minty mouth

Disadvantages: Do my teeth look white?

That elusive 'whitening' promise, not that elusive if the amount of products that promise it is anything to go by. This rather sturdy bottle of mouthwash is one among many.

The Colgate brand is familiar and dependable, the bottle outlines that the mouthwash is stain preventing, tested and gives 12 hour protection against bacteria and plaque. How does a mere mortal test that? Well we can't, all we can really go by is what it tastes like and how does your mouth/teeth feel afterwards.

Smells typically minty and is that reassuring minty light blue colour, foams slightly in the mouth and does make your mouth feel fresh. Whether or not it actually keeps teeth white is hard to see I'll just have to trust those dentists the bottle mentions.

Contains alcohol, has directions on the back along with a myriad of other feelgood promises.

Comes in a 500 ml bottle that retails at £3.72 in Tesco which is quite a lot dearer than their other Colgate plax range but what price a dazzling smile?

Summary: Minty mouthwash
