Advantages: Reduces rubbing and blisters from shoes, small and easy to carry around, easy to use

Disadvantages: Shoes still rub a little even after using it

I have an unhealthy relationship with shoes. I love them, but they hate me. Even the most comfortable looking pair of shoes will cut through my skin or leave my feet covered in painful blisters after just 10 minutes. I thought there must be some sort of miracle product on the market that would help and after wandering around Boots for a while, I found this. It's called Compeed Anti-Blister Stick, but it's not really a stick - more like a small box. I paid £4.39 for it, but it's now on offer in Boots for £3.39. It seemed a lot to pay for such a small product, especially for a penniless student like me, but I thought if it did what it said it promised to do, it would be worth it.

It's easy to use. Just rub the stick over your feet, concentrating on the areas where you're shoes are most likely to rub. It can get a bit messy and melty after a while, but it's still usable.

It claimed to "prevent blisters and chafing" and "instantly reduce rubbing from shoes". I couldn't wait to try it. I tried it with lots of different types of shoes, from flats to stilettos to 5-inch wedges. It definitely helped. I could feel my shoes gliding along my skin instead of rubbing it when I put them on. After a while some shoes still started to rub, but not as much as they had done in the past. To be fair to Compeed, the packaging only claims to "reduce" rubbing, not stop it completely, so I think it's safe to say it does what it says on the tin (or small plastic box).

Summary: It helps
