If I am run down, tired or a bit stressed out. I get mouth ulcers. They can get so bad that I have sometimes had up to twenty at one time. It's near impossible to speak or eat and they make life a real misery. The only thing I have ever found to clear them up is Corsodyl mouthwash.

Corsodyl mouthwash is pimarily marketed as a product to treat gum problems such as gingivitis. I've never suffered from gum problems, so it's hard to comment on it's use. For the purpose of this review I will concentrate on the benefits it has for those of you who may be looking for something to help their mouth ulcers. If it works as well for gum problems as it does on ulcers then I would definitely recommend it.

Corsodyl was initially recommended to me by a friend's mum who had gone through chemotherapy. She had suffered really badly with ulcers and corsodyl had helped. I tried it and have never looked back. When something new comes on to the market I will usually give it a go, but really nothing compares.

The active ingredient in corsodyl is clorhexidine digluconate. it is an anti-bacterial soloution which inhibits the formation of dental plaque. It is used to treat and prevent gingivitis (gum disease) to help with gum healing after surgery, control and treat mouth ulcers and manage oral thrush and denture sore mouth. A 300ml bottle of mouthwash costs around £2.45. It is available in mint or original. I prefer the mint. Both have a strong taste and it takes a bit of getting used to, but it works, so I put up with it. Anything is better than a mouth full of ulcers.

To cure mouth ulcers I use this twice a day. I can feel the ulcers getting better within 24 hours or less, and they are completely gone in about 3 days. The only slight drawback is if you use it for long periods it can stain your teeth a little bit. This is easily removed by a trip to the dentist and a quick scale and polish. I've used this mouthwash a lot, and it hasn't stained my teeth very much at all, nothing noticeable.

if you are suffering with mouth ulcers, please get yourself a bottle of this today, you will be feeling so much better by tomorrow morning.

Summary: I never go anywhere without a bottle of this. A Godsend.
