It is now eleven years since I had my wisdom teeth out, all four in one go - a day surgery procedure at hospital. Prior to my discharge I was given some anti-inflamatories, painkillers, told to gargle with salt water and given a bottle of corsodyl. Corsodyl is an antibacterial designed to restrict plaque forming - and can be used to ... Read the complete review

I first came across Corsodyl many years ago in a different life. I was a residential care worker looking after a little old lady in her own home. She had a vast array of medicaments the likes of which was only matched by her vast array of ailments. I never did find out what it had been prescribed for, but it had been prescribed by the ... I somehow got gingivitis and had a real servere case of this! I was close to loosing some teeth it got so bad at one point. Any way, a trip to the dentist, some ... Read the complete review

Some people are born lucky with their pearly white natural gnashers...unfortunately I'm not one of them. Having been plagued in my early twenties with several agonising abscesses, I unfortunately ended up losing two teeth to the deadly parasitic infections. Then again last year a new abscess started to grow on the top of one of my ... Read the complete review

I bought the Corsodyl mint mouthwash at Boots for 3.59 for a 300ml bottle. It's good value as it's so powerful and you wouldn't use it every day, only when you are having gum problems (gingivitis, oral thrush, mouth ulcers) or need to promote healing after dental surgery. I'd heard good things about it from friends and had a recurring infection ... Read the complete review

At the end of January my partner visited the dentist because his gums were bleeding a bit while he brushed them. He got advised to see the hygienist but also told no appointments were available for a couple of months so he came home slightly worried about the mention of gingivitis. Gingivitis is inflammation of the gums caused by ... Read the complete review

If you've been kind enough to read any of my reviews you'll know that my husband had a whopping £4000 bill from our dentist. This was mainly for work on crowning which may partly have been caused through gum disease. He was advised to use Corsodyl mouthwash which he buys regularly from the dentist which costs around £4.50 for ... Read the complete review

This review is about Corsodyl Original Mouthwash. I'm afraid I have no idea about the cost as I was prescribed it by my dentist (and get free prescription thanks to my maternity exemption card). Since I was in my teens, I have been very afraid of the Dentist. I have used every excuse under the sun to avoid going for a check up, let alone, any treatment. I have had two extractions and only, went to the dentist, because I could no longer stand the pain of toothache. All this changed about two years ago. I had been really unwell ... I began to use Corsodyl mouthwash when I presented with bleeding gums during pregnancy. It cleared it up within a day and the soreness went within two days. I would therefore highly recommend this product. Also, because we had some in, when I developed a mouth ulcer I thought I would try rinsing my mouth with this one evening and it was ... I bought this after i got my tongue pierced last year. It was recommended to me by my piercer as mouthwashes such as listerine contain alcohol which can kill of the good bacteria meaning that sores and ulcers can take longer to heal. It's the taste. No matter what else everyone says about Corsodyl it's the taste that lingers, the taste that's so bad it can made me nauseous. Yes, it's brilliant at helping mouth and gum problems, far better than anything else I know of, but why oh why does it have to taste so foul? My own problem was bleeding gums due to gingivitis, ...
