~~~Introduction~~~ I first came across Dermol 500 lotion after being prescribed the product to use in conjunction with a steroid based cream for the treatment of eczema, around five years ago. I have suffered with persistent eczema on the palms of my hands for most of my adult life, because the eczema had become particularly severe I was advised to use Dermol 500 lotion as soap substitute as most other shower gels and soaps burnt my hands and causing further irritation. Three years later, after having an adverse reaction to some of the chemicals in a facial chemical peel, the skin on my face became infected causing a breakout of acne and ... Dermol is an antimicrobial emollient cream for the management of dry and itchy skin conditions, like eczema and dermatitis. It can also be used as a soap substitute. (Description taken from the bottle) My 9 month old son is suffering from terrible eczema at the moment. He has had it all his life and it has cleared up nicely on his arms and legs with this Dermol cream. However he is suffering badly with it on his stomach and back and unfortunately this Dermol cream isn't working for him in these areas. I still use this cream on his legs and arms as much as I can to keep him moisturised. This comes in a 50g tube, which is great to take round with you ... Read the complete review
I developed a patch of dry skin on my hand which would not shift no matter what I used. I tried Lush's skin care, Hydrocortisone cream, E45 cream and yet none of it worked. I didn't have a clue what had caused this horrible dry patch which was itchy as well as flaky but I was certain it wasn't eczema and I was positive I wanted rid of it. It was starting to keep me awake at night with persistant itching and was therefore making me a very miserable girl the next day due to lack of sleep. A friend of mine suggested I try Dermol 500 lotion so I had a look around a few shops and came across it for £8.99 for a 500ml bottle. Dermol is a lotion which is supposed to ... Last year when I developed a patch of dry skin on my wrist I was looking for a lotion to soothe and moisturise it. I chose Demol 500 because it promised to be long lasting, unperfumed and in a large bottle that would last for some time. The lotion can be applied directly onto the skin or can be used as a soap and added to your bath. It can also be used as a shower gel. Being so versatile I was keen to try it out. The lotion comes in a 500ml bottle, and there is a handy plastic dispenser on top of the bottle to control the quantity of cream that emerges. The cream feels pleasant when applied, as it is cool and has a very creamy texture. It is not as oily ... Read the complete review
From a young child I was plagued with eczema. Through prescribed medication the condition gradually improved and I was back to my old cheerful self. A few years later, the condition made a surprise appearance, in dire need of some relief I took it upon my self to go to my local Lloyds pharmacy, where the staff recommended dermol 500 lotion. I think it cost about £7.50 for a 500ml bottle. I rushed home and applied the lotion following the directions as listed on the packet which tell you to use the lotion in the shower as a soap or normal shower gel substitute when washing, or directly on dry areas of skin as a moisturiser. I skipped the shower and smeared the ... Read the complete review
