I was recommend Dermol by my dermatologist, many other treatments have failed to relieve the symptoms of a dry and itchy scalp. Originally I thought it was such a good idea to have a lotion that could be applied to a dry scalp - very much like a moisturizer to skin. I was told to apply on dry hair at night and leave in. This resulted in problems such as having wet hair and a wet scalp whilst sleeping. I appreciate I cold wear a shower cap or something to cover my head but this might have exacerbated my symptoms. The other problem I experienced was that my hair seemed more lifeless and limp after washing the Dermol out in the morning, it was more difficult to style. ... Read the complete review

~~ Introduction ~~ I first came across Dermol 500 lotion after being prescribed the product to use in conjunction with a steroid based cream for the treatment of eczema around five years ago. I have suffered with persistent eczema on the palms of my hands for most of my adult life, because the eczema had become particularly severe I was advised to use Dermol 500 lotion as soap substitute as most other shower gels and soaps appeared to burn my hands and cause further irritation. For a few years now I have had a light case of eczema, it is not quite as extreme as some I have seen but I do have sensitive skin. Since I have this, I have to use soap free products and unscented things as it will really irritate my skin so this is why I use sensitive products. I do find it had to find them in shops as even the ones that consider themselves sensitive seem to really irritate me. I have been to the doctors to see what they have as any ideas to consider to me and this is when I first came across this product, Dermol.
