There is always a packet of dioralyte in my medicin box these days. I had never heard of or tried these rehydration salts untill my baby had a gastric bug at 15 days old. The first time I heard of diarolyte sachets was when my toddler was ill, when I was sick as a child I was always just given a glass of lukewarm lucozade to drink. They are used to replace fluids and salts lost during a gastric illness. They are also available in lemon flavour which taste much nicer than the blackcurrant ones, almost like lemonade. They are easy to use, simply mix with 200ml of water and drink. The water needs to be measured to ensure that you are getting the right concentration of medicine.
