I came across Direct Specs when I realised I'd be paying a small fortune for glasses, should I go to any other spectacles outlet. The glasses start at £15.00 for basic frames (metal, plastic, flexible, rimless) and work their way up to designer frames (Playboy, Bench, Emporio Armani, Ted Baker) which peak in price at £115.00. Considering how much other companies charge, Direct Specs are very reasonable and they have a great range of glasses. Their customer service is second to none, as I found when I couldn't quite decide on a pair and the Assistant took almost an hour to assist me. They deliver your glasses to your door and give you a call before they are dispatched, so you know when to expect them. My only gripe with it is that there are no stores further up north, as I had to travel to Derby to get mine.
