I had my eyes tested at Dolland & Aitchson the last time I went for an eye test and I was told that I needed a new prescription. I had a browse around D&A to see what kind of frames I fancied. It was not possible for me to buy a pair of spectacles for less than £75.00 in D&A.

Aroung the corner was a Direct Specs factory outlet and so I went in to have a look. All of their frames are 'label' frames but at factory prices. They start at £4.99 and go up to about £100 for the frames. When I handed my prescription in, I was told that my lenses would cost £15.00 so I needed to add £15.00 to the cost of the frames I chose.

All very simple and a huge selection to choose from. I bought a pair that cost me £35.00 in total.

A refreshing change to the huge cost of spectacles.
